Janie Seddon

Anyone visiting Motueka New Zealand will see this shipwreck. The Janie Seddon was built in the UK for the NZ government in 1901 and spent most of her life in Wellington. In 1949 she was sold to Talleys Fisheries for use as a trawler. Here is a fact about the Janie Seddon.
She was reported to have fired the first shot of the Second World War.
Talleys still have the dingy from the ship in the factory.
When it was sold to Talleys they wanted to make some changes so they took a few pieces off. But they took too many pieces off and said it was too much work. So they ran it to ground and left it there to rust.
