True Colours

TRUE COLOURS on PhotoPeach

To make our production we started by brainstorming ideas about what we could make our dance about. Then we decided that dancing penguins was a cool idea, because they always look so bored and cold just waddling around. Once we had that decided we thought about the slide show for behind us with lots of help from our awesome teacher MRS SMITS. Next we started thinking about our music, dance moves and costumes.   We thought music like 'shake your booty' would involve loads of 'shaking booties'. Once we chose our music we picked some interesting dance moves that meant had to move around. Costumes were a big thing.  We had to make them colorful to prove that true colors are even in penguins.

Soon everything was planned and all we had left was lots of practice. We practised most school days. Quite soon our dance was coming together and looked great. We found the big night came. Very soon we came to the high school with our parents and waited in our assigned class. The face paint was put on, the hairspray sprayed and in what felt like a matter of minutes we we in the hall way waiting to go on. Everyone was nervous as we went behind stage and waited. Then we heard our slide show and we slowly waddled on stage. Our dance looked awesome but we were all very nervous.  We hopped off stage and had a mad costume change. We waddled off and felt very relieved.

Thank you for reading and watching from Fearn, Frankie, Italy, Lucy, Karly, Finn, Otis, Connor, Campbell, Louie, Boston and Nathan.
(and one last thanks for the parents who made our amazing costumes.  You guys are the best:)
